The third-generation Sharps Kiosk 3.0 Needle DropBox is ideal for Sharps waste (needles) in public areas or drop off centers. The Kiosk 3.0 is available in a powder coated grey with high visible vinyl graphics. It can be securely mounted in place both indoors and outdoors. The door has a design that is pry resistant with a magnetic cam lock and an integrated loop for the optional magnetic padlock (or alternative). The large chute will allow containers as large as our CT4 sharps container to be deposited safely. The chute also includes a small circular opening for individual needles and small debris to be deposited without opening the chute. The chute has the capability to restrict the opening to permit water bottle sizes but not larger items if desired (best to be set upon install).

The kiosk design brings nostalgia to the traditional mailbox and will be a familiar, unobtrusive addition that services a medical need. The lockable cabinet is designed for our large 68L sharps waste bins. The Sharps Kiosk 3.0 Needle Drop Box is designed for high-risk areas, needle take-back locations, and Harm Reduction sites.

Building on the success of the Kiosk 3.0, we found some locations preferred to limit access to needles and small drug paraphernalia only. The Needle Drop Box and the Kiosk 3.0 are identical from the door to the floor. The upper portion is what makes this unit unique. It’s clean sloped top shields an oval opening from rain, snow, and visibility. Users can drop needles and other smaller items into the supplied 68L Sharps Waste Bin. The Needle Drop Box is perfect for public areas such as parks, transit stations, and other high traffic areas. The smaller opening eliminates large items being deposited and may extend the service requirements.
