HOW IT WORKS!
Once your sharps containers have been deemed full, simply use the provided MOE approved box and liner from ECS to secure your shipment. All ECS shipping boxes have Transport Canada required markings and identification bar codes, along with the appropriate paper work.
Once your sharps and/or bio-hazardous waste is received at our treatment facility this barcode is scanned upon arrival and information such as vender identification and total weight is recorded. Date and time information is also recorded enabling ECS to meticulously track all medical waste information as it pertains to you the customer.
After the receiving and scanning process of your waste is complete, your medical waste will be segregated into one of two methods for processing and destruction - hydroclaving and/or incineration. These methods are recognized worldwide as the most effective forms of disposal for sharps waste and containers, and are maintained using a stringent maintenance and inspection schedule to ensure performance compliance as set forth by the Ministry of the Environment. |
