HWIN RENEWALS
A Generator Number is a unique number identifying any business who generates waste chemicals issued by the Hazardous Waste Information Network (HWIN) in conjunction with the Ministry of the Environment. It is mandatory that all "Waste Generators" have a Generator Number with the exception of single practice Doctors and Dentists. Generators are managed using HWIN where you will be expected to maintain your account to ensure all wastes registered are active and offer complete information including regulated constituents, aqueous state and handing practices.

Generators, like a license, are renewed annually every February. You will be expected to be accurate with your registration and due to the complexity of the Land Disposal Requirements and the understanding of your waste chemical constituents we invite you to relieve yourself from this obligation by allowing us to handle it on your behalf. This service IS EXCLUSIVE to our chemical disposal customers.

1. Call HWIN Help Desk at 1-866-494-6663
2. Choosing your language option #1 English or #2 French
3. Press #1 to get the HWIN Network
4. Press #1 for the HWIN Help Desk.
5. When you reach an agent tell them that you have lost your Username & Password. You will need to offer them your Generator Number or Company Name.

6. Only HWIN Account holders can access the username and password. If you are not an account holder the HWIN staff member will tell you who is listed on the account so that you may have them call.

Although ECS will make every effort to ensure the information obtained by you the client is accurate all responsibilities are maintained by the Generator. If you have requested a purchase of adding a waste class and/or Form 2B completion please ensure that you have an up-to-date Generator Number. CLICK HERE to check your generator status.
